We are very happy to announce that the 29th Annual “Cheers for Children” Holiday Gala and Auction will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2008, commencing at 5:30 p.m. at the Hampshire House.

Once again we will be featuring “Boston’s Biggest” Silent Auction and a few additional special surprises. Also featured will be Chef Markus Ripperger’s creative hors d’oeuvres and Eddie Doyle’s famous Celebrity Guest Bartenders serving Holiday Libations on all three floors.

Combined donations from merchants, vendors, and friends have allowed us the opportunity to hold fun-filled, successful auctions each year, all in the name of these worthy and deserving charities: The Boston Globe Santa Fund, The Jimmy Fund, The Friends of Floating Hospital, and The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care. In addition, we will be making a special donation to The Massachusetts Soldier’s Legacy Fund.

Realizing that these are not the best of times for many people, we are hoping you will be able to help by donating a special item for the auction. During the next few weeks, a member of our committee will be contacting you regarding a possible donation. Forms are provided for your tax convenience.

In order to ensure that your donation is given appropriate credit on all our printed material, we kindly ask that all items be submitted or delivered by Friday November 14, 2008. We would like to invite you to join us for this Holiday Auction & Gala on December 3rd. Your support will help make this Holiday a better one for others.
